This year will be the second year that "FreeFest" will be taking place in the tranquil location of Queens Park, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Digital Corruptions Promotions are once again hosting the event in Chesterfield - This year being bigger and better - being granted 5000 capacity.
"FreeFest" is a 100% independent festival free from branding and corporate involvement that was launched in Chesterfield last year on the back of the success of the national music promotions/management company – Digital Corruptions promotions. The promotional label was launched over 3 years ago by Richard Alsop who is also the creator/director of “FreeFest” the festival. During this period Digital Corruptions promotions have hosted events with 2000 capacity venues to 150 capacity venues throughout the Midlands, working with huge names to new unsigned talent.
The festival is the largest event created to date by Richard Alsop, it is a celebration with some of the artists that Digital Corruptions Promotions have been lucky enough to have worked with over the past 3 years. The concept of the festival is to showcase a broad spectrum of musical genres and artists to the people of Derbyshire and further, all the people who attend the event simultaneously celebrating the beauty of music and art together in one area.
This year really does promise to be a special event for everybody who is lucky enough to be there, putting Chesterfield firmly onto the musical map. The event is being attended by several national music magazines, major labels and international promoters and will be broadcasted live on national radio.
This year the event will remain a FREE not-for-profit event, sticking to the etchics that have become part of the Chesterfield event set by Digital Corruptions Promotions.
Digital Corruptions Presents "FreeFest 08" is an event that can be enjoyed by all people and all ages.
